The loose, traditional Japanese clothing were always Fedafyr's favourite. He preferred the way they sat on him, red and white contrasting to his gold slitted eyes and long black hair that fell around his shoulders, free to the caresses of the wind. His feet are often adorned with the traditional sandals, his thin frame heightened by the hakama and loose gi. Soft strips adorn his cheeks, almost invisible behind strands of black hair. From his pants protrudes a tail of a fox, the soft fur often grabbing more attention to it than his own body could alone. His ears are sharp and pointed, darkened at the tips. Creamy white skin is highlighted by the golden fur of his tail, and Fedafyr looks best in the firelight. His boyishly charming smile is enough to bring someone to a melted standstill, for when that smile is there, even his sharp white fangs pale in contrast to the allure he radiates.
Fedafyr's hair falls to his waist, straight, though is sometimes kept in an unruly black braid. His eyes are arched almond, large on his face but very often lazily half-lidded in a serene, mocking look. His fingers are slender and pointed claws sprout where the nails should have progressed. His body is lithe and well-muscled, but soft enough to imply a certain air of nobility.
Fedafyr is fairly simple in personality since his fall, his insanity the last thing left of his broken mind. Lust and hunger are his driving motivations and lies allow him to acquire them. On the surface, he is a chameleon, assuming roles that suit him to lure a single person away if he must. Assured of his power, Fedafyr has never run, will never run... Once he understood more complex emotions, but he was unable to retain them when the curse sunk into him.
What is left of Fedafyr's original personality--the kind, love-struck defender of nature--is guarded and locked inside the monster's reflection, so Fedafyr hates mirrors and still waters. (Feasibly, if one could catch Fedafyr where he had to be stuck in front of a mirror, one could communicate with his previous self, but that's a story arch people have to talk to me for); Also, Fedafyr, as educated as he comes across when speaking, has lost the ability to read.
The youkai seeks attention; he is flirtatious and chivalrous to those around him. He often occupies himself in bars or pubs. His taste is comparable to a vampire's, but he is less graceful about his food. His techniques with women are often unifiably disgusting, bodies littered across many blocks but never identifiable after he gets through with them. Fedafyr appears as roguishly charming as he could get, but, unlike vampires, with their reputations hanging about them and the idea that it was dangerous to be with them, women are less afraid to shuffle off for a night in heated ecstasy with a kitsune being. To the horror of all, Fedafyr is quite often the worst sadist any creature could possibly roam with, and he likes his food to make a lot of noise...
I suppose it would be easy to count Fedafyr a sociopath and be done with it--it's certainly the way those who have been killed by him have seen him. If the enemy has a face and a background, the hatred may become brittle. Fedafyr, though, does have a story, a short, sad story.. and it involves a woman.
All problems involve women, don't you see? Or, more clearly, all problems involve love--gender truly has nothing to do with it. Fedafyr was a demon in love, and a demon well-loved back. He pondered music and stars, just like any creature struck with such a despondence. He was a spirit of nature, referred to as a demon loosely for his looks--although, the title has been duly reinforced now. Fedafyr loved animals and creatures of all sorts, plants and water and the forest he occupied called him its master and protected him from danger, though he had enough power to defend himself perfectly.
She was a demon--in every right of the word. Not youkai, no, but an oni. A cruel demon of chaos and destruction, but they, too, know love, do they not? She knew love in him--he bested her, so he had her respect, he showered her with gifts, so what was feminine was wild about him, and he showed her things she could not have with men who were like her. Trust and loyalty never questioned, self-esteem never challenged. They bonded well together.
But Fedafyr was powerful, and beautiful, and desired. All of these things worked together in the plot carried out against him. Using his woman, they baited him, using his own trust, they tricked him, and using her blood, they killed what was left of him. His conscience sealed inside her swirling hate, his guilt the possessor of his will, he was doomed from the beginning to lose the battle.
Fedafyr made two decisions that now effect his mind--only two that still remain through anything but the mirrors--He drove the hatred to feed only on forms. It seeks those who cannot die unwittingly, hunting them remorselessly, but sees not the beings as food unless they place themselves before him... and before he could no longer control himself, he acquired a conscience.. a conscience in the form of a ghostly being, too weak to create his own form, but just convicted enough to struggle against the hate.. a conscience named Paris. These are the legacy Fedafyr left before he was trapped within the reflection.
Unmatched in power in his sphere, Shi unmatched in her own, together they make a creature most terrifying. Fedafyr doesn't lose.
(OOC Note here, Fedafyr will ***not godmod***--the statements that "he does not lose" are for effect and a little bit of a warning that I won't go into a roleplay without plotting out what's going to happen. In other words, you've got to agree to lose ahead of time, or we have to be doing something particularly important to my character's development. He is a power house. He's not the strongest creature in your world, as that is yours to dictate, not mine--though my muse has been considered so in the past, so pardon his ego--but if you say your creature is stronger, Fedafyr probably won't cross paths with you... mostly because he'd have to die to stop trying to kill you. I believe in making my villains VERY scary, otherwise everyone would rise up and collectively destroy them..and hiding villains aren't really villains anymore.. just... very dangerous rats.)
