PLAY-BY: aydan-kerimli.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=264#/d13lg59Slim, reddish brunette, and blue-eyed, Ivy has been turning heads since she was young. She prefers earth tones and has an odd tailored-hippie sense of style. She loves tailored styles and does her best to look her best at all times, almost to the point of being anal about it. When she's alone at home though, it's a different matter. As soon as she gets home from school, she dons pajama pants and baggy sweatshirts, preferring to be utterly comfortable in her home, especially after a long day of learning to control high school children. She is always embarrassed when someone shows up unannounced and catches her in her 'comfortable' clothes. She has a small barbell through her navel. She doesn't particularly like it, and can't remember why she wanted it in the first place, but can't be bothered to take it out.
Ivy tends to hold her body in whatever position is most comfortable. Crossed arms and legs are common, though not defensive. She tries to smile to everyone and keep any negative thoughts or feelings to herself. You will never see any bodily appearance of negative thoughts, though her eyes tend to take on a malicious sort of glare when she's angry. Her eyes betray her feelings in most cases.
Ivy was always quiet, something reinforced when she finally got her dream job as a museum curator. It's now coming back to bite her in the ass, as she finds it hard to raise her voice to students. She finds the kids a little intimidating, though with Micheal's help she is slowly gaining enough confidence to teach her own class. When she is annoyed enough, she will raise her voice, though it takes a very long time to get there. Most of her previous museum staff knew what angry Ivy looked like and wanted to avoid it at all costs. She can't exactly scream and swear at high school students though, so she is fighting to find a happy medium.
She's always had a passion for history and the small house located on the close side of the residential area that she occupies is full of small historical pieces, antiques, and bookshelves full of books that cover several different historical subjects. She can't ever get enough of history.
She also loves to swim and frequents the lake. Not so much one for laps, she just finds a secluded area and splashes around until she's a bit tired, before going up on shore to lay on a towel and read while she dries off. For her, Haven offers an escape from stress and a life she suddenly wishes she'd allowed herself to have instead of the stress she used to experience everyday as a curator.
She rather enjoys Haven, finding it a nice break from the big city and the constant rush that was her job as a museum curator. She is content with her life now, student teaching and wandering about the town and surrounding forest. She secretly wishes that they will never find a cure and that she can stay in Haven until she dies. She doesn't tell anyone about this, certain it will get her laughed at.
Ivy grew up living in an apartment with her mother, who worked in a bakery. Her father was never in the picture and any time she brought him up, her mother would get teary and tell her he just wasn't around. Ivy always shrugged this off and accepted this for what it was. A little digging later on revealed he'd left her mother after he'd found out she was pregnant. Ivy never let this get to her and had never given it any thought. When she's asked, she always says that she can't miss what she's never had. Secretly she's scared to trust men because she's afraid they'll run out on her.
Growing up, Ivy always hated history. Later in high school, she fell in love with it and then finally decided in college that she wanted to do something involving history for a living. After obtaining the necessary degrees and going through years of modestly paid internships, she landed the job at Museum of Natural History in Boston. At first, she loved it, but she slowly burned out until one day she read in the paper about children 'Waking up' in a place called the Reverie. After much consideration, she decided that maybe she could help in some way. Perhaps searching historical documents for mentions of these 'Dreamers.' She immediately went to sign up to go and live in Haven
Once in Haven, she quickly decided she wanted to teach History. Hardly having the degrees to be a teacher, the board finally agreed that she would have to student teach under the high school's history teacher in order to take a class of her own. Once the teacher has signed off that she was ready to teach her own class, she will be allowed to take her own class and not a moment until then. Not long after she began to student teach, she found she herself Waking up in the Reverie, causing a little panic and then a great amount of curiosity. She's been balancing reading up on what little is known about the Reverie and student teaching ever since.
Liliana
Fantasy : Goblin Queen : Goblin
Liliana is the Queen of the Goblins, ruling beside her King. She takes great interest in the goblins of their kingdom, and makes certain that great lengths are taken to keep them safe. She often wanders through the city around the castle, buying produce and fabric directly from them and socializing with the common folk. She believes that this is the way to keep the rule over the kingdom. She leaves all the more violent, harsh sides of ruling to her king, though she isn't sure if he bothers with that either. She's never bothered to ask. No matter what, she stands beside her king. Even though she loves the people, Jarreth comes first to her always.
