PLAY-BY: Tanya ValienteStanding five feet four inches, Jacklyn is a very lovely girl long dark hair falling free around a face that usually looks somewhere between angry and depressed. With no real set fashion statement which to cling, her clothing varies from day to day and look to look. Any given moment, she might be found wearing blue jeans and a tank top or a traditional Chinese long dress... or anywhere in between.
Jacklyn is and always will be an artist above all else. Even when picking on people, she is very unlikely to go about it the same way twice and has been heard to quote songs to insult people. Her music and painting are her two loves. Heaven help anybody who interrupts or harms her work! Jacklyn's biggest hate is mostly other people, but that stems from her fear of being to close to someone.
Like most bullies, Jacklyn's actions are a cry for attention. However, unlike most, she only wants that attention long enough for people to realize they want nothing to do with her.
One of her newest and most enjoyed ways of picking on a person is to talk about sexual subjects that will make them uncomfortable, or to touch someone who would not appreciate her attention. Although having never even been kissed, everything she knows about sex comes from what she has read, seen, or heard, and she would become very upset and flustered if ever anyone called her on it. Or even worse... gave her a taste of her own medicine.
Now, she is not always an overly hostile little monster. If people just leave her alone, she's very calm and level-headed. People who have never seen her in a social setting like school generally assume that she is just a wall flower kind of girl. Not that she is in the usual sense, when by herself she may seem it. People who approach her get a very different sense of her, an older sensation: once upon a time, she would have been shy and tried to politely show that she didn't care much for their attention, that she just wanted to be left alone. Until the trauma changed her entirely. Now, they would get a ear full of hostility and resentment for bothering to come and disrupt her peace. Most people might call a wall flower like Jacklyn was a few years ago a rose that had not yet bloomed, now the depiction would be of a Venus fly trap waiting to strike what ever gets to close.
Jacklyn was born in a small country town in northern Germany. The youngest of many siblings--thirteen, to be exact. Now, most people assume that larger families tend to be poorer ones, but that was not true for hers. Though they were not rich, the family had more than enough to provide for all the children. Jacklyn was also the tie breaker: six boys to seven girls and the parents still found ways to make time for all of them. As it so often goes in today's world, kids always seem to want what ever they didn't get. The ones whose parents tried to respect their privacy wish that the parent would pay more attention to them... and the ones showered with affection just want to be left alone; this couldn't have been more true with Jacklyn. This was not helped by the fact that all of her siblings wanted to give attention to the baby, so it was more like she had seven sets of parents.
In school she was quiet, introverted and detached. Most of the other children ignored her just as she ignored them; until fourth grade, at least, when she met Katrina. She was the one girl Jacklyn couldn't just ignore away. Katrina was new to the school, lost, and feeling very lonely, but then she saw Jacklyn... and she knew that she had found someone lonely, just like her. After the most annoying three weeks of her life, Jacklyn gave in and within no time they were practically inseparable. Jacklyn's family were guaranteed they'd last when their friendship survived Trent.
Jacklyn and Katrina met Trent when they were in sixth grade. He was a year ahead of them and Katrina thought he was the greatest thing ever. Jacklyn, on the other hand, thought he was one of the biggest jerks ever; she was probably right.
Katrina and Trent's relationship lasted almost three and a half years. Amazing to everyone, especially Jacklyn, though even with all of her complaints, she and Katrina never stopped being friends.
However, in their freshman year, the worst thing either of the girls (at that time) could imagine, happened: Trent broke up with Katrina to date a different girl. Katrina was absolutely heart broken and no matter what Jacklyn did or said nothing seemed to help Katrina's depression. For a time, this became the normal state of things... Katrina would cry a lot and Jacklyn would do everything she could to make her smile. One night, Katrina's loneliness became too much to bear and after three attempts to call Jacklyn--who had fallen asleep studying--Katrina did something far worse then Jacklyn could ever even conceive.
That night, Katrina took her own life.
Jacklyn's best and only real friend in the whole world was gone.
Jacklyn was utterly broken. The one person who meant every thing to her was gone, taken in a single instance of utter loneliness and self loathing. At first, she refused to accept it. She just kept telling herself that it was all a bad dream. Over the next few weeks, it became real to her, but as she came to terms with her new reality something in her changed. The broken-hearted girl decided that she would never allow someone to be so close, so important, that if they left it would destroy her. Not ever again.
In the following two years, Jacklyn became the terror of her school. It didn't matter who it was or what they were, Jacklyn berated or fought with everyone. Slowly it was becoming too much for even her parents and siblings to deal with. Not knowing what else to do, her parents promised the school that she would not return for the following year. But, that summer, tragedy struck. Late one night, Jacklyn's parents woke to hear quite an uproar. Now, it was not unusual for Jacklyn to sleep walk, but when they reached the wreckage that use to be her room, they found her crumpled on the floor screaming and clawing at her face. As she continued and her parents tried desperately to wake or restrain her, her fingers caught her eye lid, revealing the glow that no parent--even those with a daughter like Jacklyn--ever want to see. The next thing Jacklyn knew she was awakening in Haven, her new home. . . and she wasn't sure if she wasn't happy with that.
NAMELESS
PHANTASM : THE ONE WITHOUT : HUMAN?
Jacklyn takes the form of a "Nameless" girl clad in a strange assortment of clothes--a top hat and corset, and with long curly red hair. The most noticeable thing is the strange mask that never seems to come off. Jacklyn's Chimera was born in the Phantasm, where everyone has a mask. However, Jacklyn's is not a simple mask nor a piece of her face as some seem to be--hers is held in place by a bolt in the back of her head, hidden from view by her long hair. Notably, her hair is a dark blonde under the top hat, lending to the idea that her hair was stained by the blood such a trauma would produce. Nameless is painfully aware of what she looks like when she is in the real world. The mask leaves her utterly horrified. She spends most of her time sulking in corners or asking anyone that passes for help removing the grotesque addition; though no one has been able to yet.
