An excited smile over came Chu's face and Michael and Kou insisted he came along.
Friends!
His excitement showed on his eager face. He happily followed behind Michael and Kou, just so he would make sure Kou wouldn't fall over and kill him himself. Chu was worrisome like that, always more concerned for others than for himself.
A gentle blush came on to Chu's cheeks as he listned to Kouyou say his name in that sweet voice.
"Y'know Kouyou," started Chu shyly rubbing the back of his neck "I... I don't mind that you say my name like that. When you say my name like that... it... kind of makes me think of how my boyfriend talks to me... he's always so sweet when he calls my name.... he's always so sweet to me... ever since I came to Haven, he's been the only person to ever call, write, or send me gifts. He can't cook very well, but he tries to bake me something once a month... it's the thought that counts, right? I love him for trying." He face was getting slightly flushed as she gushed over his dear boyfriend.
Though, almost instantly he stopped smiling. "Oh... I'm sorry... I.. shared too much, talking about yourself is rude, that was selfish of me."
Chu was always in constant conflict with himself, he tried to be true to who he was but he also seemed to be constantly tormented by the thoughts and memories of his old life.
He remembered how bitter his father used to be whenever he would try to share his emotions, he remembers being called "Selfish" and "Sissy". Chu quickly learned growing up that sharing your feelings and thoughts wasn't permitted in his home, so, Chu tried to not really talk about himself much anymore without that painful memory arising.
"Oh!" he gasped. He was so surprised to have received such a large tip from Michael. At first, he simply stared at the bill unsure if it was appropriate to take the tip. No one had ever really tipped him before. Though, Michael was persistent and Micheal's kind nature knew no bounds. "Th-thank you." He said quite simply, as he tucked the bill into an old thin black wallet and slid it into the pocket of his old worn out blue jeans.
Even thought he'd only known Michael for less than an hour, he grew to like him quite a bit. Michael made him feel appreciated, it took someone special to make Chu feel wanted.
"Umm. I... I think I know a place. T-there is a little dinner, one street over it... it has good food. It umm, makes good burgers and sand--"
"Hey Fag!"
Chu's words were cut short by strange voice coming out of a side alley.
A young man emerged from the alley, he was probably Chu's age, with sandy blonde hair and a bodybuilder body.
"Oh no..." Chu said quietly backing up, "Fisher please... I... I don't want trouble tonight."
Fisher came closer, "Why not Fairy-Bitch?" he scoffed as he began to circle Chu, examining him like he was a lab-rat. Chu felt uncomfortable as he was being circled, but he didn't ask for help from Micheal or Kou.
"Y'know," Fisher said turning to Micheal and Kou, "You two are way too smart to be hanging out with this piece of Queerbait. You two should just go home... Layton really doesn't need friends like you two... he just needs a noose and a bottle of pills." he laughed.
Chu stood there silently, taking Fishers tormenting as if it were routine.
