For Your Consideration
The World is so damn beautiful
Pawns: Benedict Hidzenboosh, Vichee Founder
And I Feel Fantastic!
Status: OPEN, CONCLUDED
And I never felt as good as how I do right now,
Setting: At the bar
Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day,
Scene: Benedict is getting drunk and waiting for Vee. Woohoo simplicity!
When I felt the way that I do right now, right now, RIGHT NOW!
Benedict tapped the wood at the bar for another shot. The bartender should have just left the bottle like he had asked but no matter. He would continue to annoy him with requests for new shots. When the shot glass was full again, Ben picked it up diligently with two fingers. He was hunched down at the bar, ankles together but knees apart. The bar stool seemed too tall for his already tall person--thus the hunching. His pocket journal was on the bar, the pen keeping the book open. So many illegible notes for the common eye. He turned the page and took his shot.
He was here, thinking, and waiting for Vee to show up... His sister had said she saw Ricky there in the Reverie... why couldn't he find him too? Why couldn't he go? What part of these dreamer's mind did he not have access to in his own? Everything could be traced to the brain--physical to psychological. Of course... she could have been lying, but he couldn't tell for it hadn't been enough time for him to read her and understand. He sighed and knocked on the bar again for another shot. The bartender had been dealing with him for a while so he always knew what he was asking for.
"You sure you need more?"
The bartender asked Ben as he poured another shot. Ben, looking at his neck instead of the eyes, took the shot and put the glass down. Slowly, he knocked again. The bartender pulled a face and pour another before walking away. Ben wasn't phased by the drinking. The body would follow the brain. He looked at the journal. He went to close it and knocked his shot glass over.
He cursed in Czech (his foreign language in collage). He moved his journal and got up quickly to get out of the way of the spilled drink. If he was paying attention, he would have made sure no one was behind him.
