Relief flickered in Vee's eyes. That jacket was much much smaller, though it would still probably eat her. At least it wouldn't drag the ground.
"Sure." She chirped, slipping the bigger trench off and trading him for the leather jacket. She slid the jacket on, wrapping it around herself firmly.
"Thanks. The other one is great, but it's hard for me to walk in." She laughed softly.
"Shall we head out then?" They were quite a while into the gardens, the plot being located in one of the back corners where it would be mostly out of the way.
"So...do you Dream?" she asked after a while of walking in companionable silence. It felt a little weird to be asking questions that she already knew the answers to, but if it would fix things with Ben then she'd do it.

"Yeah, as a horse. Her name is Seppa."
Vee reached up as though she scratching her neck, really though she was running her fingers over the soft cloth of the scarf around her neck. A new idle habit she'd developed.
"There's not much to be jealous of I suppose. It does give you a good insight, but I find it hard to get any rest. She likes to move. So I don't really sleep a lot. I'm less tired if I just stay up."
She figured she might as well get this out of the way now. She'd stopped taking the sleeping pills in favor of taking short naps to get in a bit of her sleep. She didn't like needing pills for anything.

"I suppose the grass is greener then. What are you planning food wise at your place? Perhaps there is something I can do to help. I was taught by a wonderful chef so... I can dice tomatoes wonderfully."
He smiled down at her as they walked, switching shoulders at an even pace so that his shoulders got an even work out. It was one way to stay fit, he figured, if one must carry and walk everywhere in this place. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He should invest in a beanie soon. This was more than what he was use to when it came to weather.

"Hmm I hadn't thought about it.."
She hadn't really given it a thought. Of course, her pantry and fridge were always fully stocked, so deciding would be difficult. There was so much she could make. Maybe a curry of some kind. Did Ben like curry? She wasn't sure, she'd never made it for him before and she some how doubted he'd made it for himself.
"How do you feel about Indian food?"
She asked lightly, tugging his jacket tighter around her thin body. lean muscle did little to help her against the cold. She ducked her face down, burying it up to her nose in his scarf around her neck under her hoodie. She was sort of sad it no longer smelled like him after she'd been wearing it for the past couple weeks, but it still comforted her, especially now that they were pretending what had happened before had not happened at all. It reminded her that it hadn't just been a dream.

He tapped his chin in thought before he found his answer.
"I am not sure. I am willing to give it a try though."
He gave her a soft smile and pointed at the scarf.
"I like your scarf. It looks good on you."
He would let her keep that. He had no need for it. He could buy a new one when he got his beanie. He should probably go shopping this weekend. Get some warmer clothes as well. Fall was setting in slowly and he wanted to be well prepared when it came to winter. He didn't really care to be cold but then again, not many people did.

She raised her head out of the scarf, a blush staining the bridge of her nose.
"Thanks. Someone...really important to me gave it to me.."
She murmured, the part muffled by the cloth as she buried her face in it again. Silence over took them again as she mentally ran through the recipes for curry she knew. They'd have to make rice too. Maybe a nice pork curry with tomatoes and onions and garlic... Yes, that would be good.
They were nearing the main entrance and had begun to pass other people. Now the area was getting rather thick with students and teachers. It must be lunch time, or between passing periods. Lunch. Her stomach protested loudly and she shook her head. Soon they'd be fed, her stomach could just shut up.

As they started to work their way through the crowd, students started to make way for them. Whispering started to pour from the students--mostly the female ones. Giggling and snickering here and there and Ben frowned mentally. Children...
Some of the younger kids moved out of his way out of fear or amazement. That was the man who knew what you were thinking. The creepy yet cool guy. The older the child, the more it turned to other thoughts. He sighed and put his hand to his forehead as they were just out of reach of the door.
He said to the students who thought it was a wonderful idea to just stop in front of the doors and use only one of the two doors. When he got through, he forced the other open and waited for Vee to go through first before he went through himself. Children seemed to make only as much sense as they wanted to: zero.

Vee made a soft sound of surprise in the back of her throat. She'd never expected kids to be so...drawn to Ben. She was brought out of her thoughts by a couple of young children whom she'd run tests with before. She smiled and offered them hello's, still following Ben through the crowd. She didn't mind the kids so much. They could be annoying sometimes, but she was good with them.
'If only they would just ok the class.' she thought bitterly. These kids needed guidance and she wanted to give it to them. Right now though, she'd have to settle for being a guest speaker in classes and advising the children that came to her to learn about what was going on with their bodies when they slept.
"They really seem to like you." she murmured as Ben drew level with her once they'd both made it out into the even chillier streets.

"No idea why. I've done nothing for or against them."
He shrugged as they were finally getting free of the last of the children. They could be so annoying sometimes, he figured. Oh well. Best to get use to them for they weren't going anywhere just like he wasn't. He held up a hand against the wind to keep it from blowing into his eyes. Fall. He loved the temperature, but didn't know what else it held worth merit.
"Do you have a fire place or anything at your place?"

Vee nodded, wrapping his jacket tighter around her against the wind.
"Yeah, I have a fire place." She tapped her bottom lip. "I can't remember if I brought firewood in though..."
She headed off to the left, the opposite direction of the apartment Ben had known her to live in. She'd moved into a small house across town from her original apartment so that she could have a larger garden and possibly get a dog, though the former was becoming rather difficult to obtain. It had been a nice scenery change and given her a quieter place to gather herself back up. Plus it gave her former neighbors some peace with her sleeping schedule.
"I'm going to have to warn you that the front room is kind of a mess..." She smiled lightly. "I haven't really unpacked..."

"That is alright. Perhaps I can help you unpack."
He hadn't known she had moved. He wondered why. Her old place was nice and... colorful... Maybe a change of scenery was actually good for her. Gave her a whole new area to repaint and redecorate. Was like changing outfits but costed more. He scrunched his face up slightly.
"No matter. If you don't, I can run and get some if it is required."
He adjusted his shoulder bag and blinked when someone bumped into him.
The girl who had run into him scurried off, her friends giggling on the side lines. He rolled his eyes. Children.

"Oh well that will certainly be easy then."
He popped is coat's collar to block the wind before shoving his hands into his pockets. It wasn't too terribly cold so long as the wind wasn't blowing. He memorized the walk to her new place as they traveled.
"I have just recently furnished my apartment. I'm no where close to moving to a better location."
He muttered this, trying for conversation and... failing at it. He sighed and decided to return to silence. It was easier to do correctly.

"Really? Did you just move here?"
She cocked her head slightly. He'd furnished his apartment? She supposed that shouldn't have surprised her. He'd been talking about doing it before....before.
She made another turn, this time into the residential area of town. Two more blocks and it was the street on the right, the house at the very end and surrounded by trees. It wasn't a bad walk. She could still get everywhere just as easily as before. Now she had more room to herself though.
